What is Urogynecology? Also known as Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery is a subspecialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Urology. This field is now a jointly accredited specialty within the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and Urology. Dr. Sujata Yavagal is one of the few physicians in the South Florida to be trained and board certified in this field and completed three years of formal fellowship (additional training after residency) with focus on the surgical and non-surgical treatment of pelvic floor disorders.
